Who makes the best sounding electric guitar, and why? What does it sound like- deep tones- higher pitches?

I used to love Les Pauls, because the tones are so rich, especially the mid-range tones. Who do you think makes the best sounding geeetars, nowadays?

Gibson has always been the best, Les Pauls. Second would probably be a Squire or Fender Stratocaster, cheap yet has amazing value. I tend to like BC Rich's though, they have more of a 'meatier' sound for Metal.

gibson les pauls will always be the standard in the buisness. i'm a huge fan of Ibanez guitars though. the tones are deep and rich but also incredibly clean. perfect for blues or metal.
