I dont like my father & have nothing in common with him yet I get so upset when he yells at me 4 nething. why?

coz he is ur father and no matter how much you hate him you still want to be aspproved of by him and so when u get yelled at by him you feel hurt and maybe thats how he expresses that he cares about u.

Agreed. You don't have to "like" your father in order to want his love and approval. It's a normal human condition. I hated--LOATHED--my stepfather growing up, but he was the only father figure I had, and when he taunted me (one of the many mean things he used to do to me) it upset me greatly.
