This question causes memories to become as vivid as the clearness of the day. Speaking honestly, it would require too much money to rebel against the monetary system. I believe that is called checks and balances scheming, through monetary protectionism, protected by the federal government.

The "monetary system" isn't just paper. Its a method of allocating wealth for individuals and entities. The reason we work so hard for money is because it is much too difficult for each person to farm all the food they eat or want to eat, and to bicycle on a generator for all the electricity they need to use, and to manually pump water from the ground to drink. The next step up from that is to trade stuff like beads and materials for the goods that you want. The problem with this bartering system is that it's not liquid enough, so people invented printed paper with all kinds of denominations and counterproof systems and thats why we use the freaking monetary system.

Just paper. Yes. so is the Declaration of Independence, Magna Carta, Emancipation Proclamation.... Your Birth Certificate... It's Not the PAPER, dear. It's what it stands for... Independence, rights, the ability to provide for those you care about... it is used in place of beads, shells, and trinkets... it is the modern version of bartering... Do more reading, less rebelling. your too young to make judgments based on remarks overheard in your cradle...

without these little pieces of paper how would we pay for our food, rent, property taxes or digital watches? And you know those are way cool. The alternative to wasting your life pursuing money is to waste your life pursuing some rabbits to eat, gathering firewood, sewing your own clothes, etc? And then what happens to your impacted wisdom tooth?

Good question.
I think that, if humanity survives long enough, we will one day move beyond currency of any kind and measure people's contributions to society in more meaningful ways. Hopefully we will learn to seek rewards in life that are not based on greed also.

To hell with Capitalism. I hate how the world is structured around money and greed. You should read up on Marx, especially about alienation of labor.

Money ensures three things....Food, shelter, and clothing...But we shouldn't rebel against it...Neither should we worship it...Plain an simple...We USE it to provide, nothing else....It is an exchange for product, printed on paper.

Because revolutions take money, and those who would rebel can't afford to! :-)
