Friends of the opposite sex can stay friends, but eventually it gets to a point that has to be talked about. Guys, especially, are made to always anticipate some type of adventure with girls that they hang out with. Just realize that it is normal. If you want to remain friends, and no more, then you need to make it known that you love hanging out with him, but don't want to ruin the friendship by taking it further. Good luck

If they truly are friends then I would say yes. I am a guy who quite a few female friends. We just hang out an talk. My G/F doesn't get jealous because she knows we are just friends. The situation when you can't is when one gets bored and wants to change from friend to boy/girlfriend. I am not saying don't become friends first with those that you want to date, but for those who have been friends for awhile and it is obvious that nothing more will ever happen. I call that a special bond between friends. Hope I was of some help.

That's tough. I fooled around with a friend, no feelings attached, but we had been friends for so long before, that afterward it felt strange to just hang with him. It added a weird dynamic to the friendship. Yet i have another male friend who I could never imagine doing it with. So i guess the answer is that men are always hoping to do it with a chick, especially if she is one they trust. But they also love having a bond with a girl without the strings of a relationship, a good friend. You can be friends with some members of the opposite sex as long as you have secure boundaries, and are open enough to discuss those feelings.

Friends of the opposite sex can stay friends. My best friend is a boy and I am a girl and we have been best friends for 20 years. We are both married to different people. If I have a problem he is the first one (after my husband) that I talk to and him to me. We even discuss stuff we wouldn't bother our partners with, just like girlfriends do.

frm my point of view, opposite sexes can be just platonic best friends. if you find the right person with the right concept, you can be his buddy and he can be your best mate in giving you view from guys on what guys look for in gers etc. personally i have alot of good friends of the opposite sex. i find them more fun to be with as they don really gossip and ***** as much as gerfriends do. being with them just purely fun fun fun. cos they tend to dote on you as a sister and protect you as a friend as a ger. no other intention. cheers

Yes you can be just friends. I have many female friends. I trust them with my life. I have no romantic feelings at all for them nor them for me. But yes I have slept with a few of them just for sex, but our friendship is quite secure.
