I think it is pronounced like "Kate" but my sister and some other people think it is like "Katie", which I can't understand...idk does someone have this name or know someone who spells their name this way and how do they pronounce it?

I go for Katie. if it was Kate, then spell int Kate. the Y in Kayte makes you split it into 2 syllables. That is a memorable spelling for Katie also.

I don't personally know anyone who spells their name that way and looking at it I think either pronunciation would work. Where did you see it? It's probably just an alternate spelling for someone named either Kate or Katie. About 30 years ago it was quite popular for girls to respell their names from the normal to something more original (like Debbi became Debi and Donna became Dawna). Personally my favorite respelling is for a pet's name. I love Phydeoux (Fido) for a cat. Sorry I wasn't any help with your conundrum but it was fun just rambling on anyway! LOL

pronounce it like the letters, "K" "T"...it was my ex wife's name.
