there is no french in either of us that we know of, i am white/indian and the father is black/indian. the only reason it sounds french is because the fathers name is Pierre.

Unless it's like, a sacred family tradition to have 4 names, I think you should just use Avery as the first, and Pierre as a middle.

For one thing, every form that you or your son as he grows up will have to fill out will have 3 name blanks- a first, middle, and last, and you'll either have to cram it all in, or pick one of the 4 to leave out.

If it does happen to be that there's a sacred family tradition of having 4 names, I like Lucian. It's not common or ghetto, but it's an old traditional name not heard too often, so it's not really out there either.

Your chosen names have a French flavor to them. Personally, I have always loved: Jean-Luc. Jean-Claude is nice too. How many names does the kid have to have?

Then again, the first name should complement the last name since people rarely use their middle names. Think of the nationality of his last name and then find something in that language that has a meaning.

Definitely, do NOT name him something that is even REMOTELY embarrassing. Think of all the possible slang meanings of the name.

Someone once studied names of males and it was found that short, one sylable names were considered more masculine. Go figure. LET US KNOW WHAT YOU DECIDE! Please email me. I have a Scott and a Matt. LOL!

with two middle names... you will need to keep the first name either to one syllable or extend it to three or more...

benjamin avery pierre
william avery pierre
anthony avery pierre

you will need to say the whole name including last name and also consider his initials.... what will the initials spell and is this a positive thing?

write and say the names you like in full several times to see how it looks on paper and how it sounds to the ear...

I think your choices of middle names are nice...

Look at the initials so if you use "c" it would be c - a(avery) - p (pierre) "CaP" hmm. Or, a G - would make it G.A.P. which is nice, or L - L.A.P. or M. - M.A.P. , you could tell him, he was the Map to your heart which is why you named him Malcolm; N- for N.A.P. (you might need a lot of them, when he is here) or R.A.P. If you think he might be musically inclined, or S.A.P. Maybe, T.A.P. or maybe even Z.A.P. - Zacharia is nice, and you could call him Zack for short.

I always like names that are long yet easily shortened. (two names for the price of one!) All the best to you!
