Midol and Pamprin both work. I also drink a lot of water during my cycle and I find it to work, I don't exactly know why, but hey it works! I also read that staying active helps as well, I don't know how intense your cramps are, personally mine are pretty bad and they last a while so I cannot really do any exercises, but give it a shot. Of course there is the heating pad too, which I never tried, but know of some friends that do, and they never complained.

Viox use to be great for cramps until they pulled it from the market. Now you can use any analgesic like: Aleve, BC powder, Motrin, Midol, and some caffeine helps too. Drink some green tea it helps if you do not like caffeine.

If you are bothered every month with cramps and they last very long, or if your periods are longer than they should be, you should see your doctor. Sometimes they prescribe birth control pills to help regulate your periods and stop some of the cramping.

Fill a water bottle with hot water and put it where it hurts. This doesn't get rid of it but it does help make you feel better. Stop all activity, and sit quietly in a cool place.
Drink juice or a sport beverage.

Midol or Pamprin or plain old Ibuprofen (Advil is the same medicine), a warm shower, hot tea, a heating pad, etc.
