When will people ever learn that the best way to deal with racists is just to ignore them?

Question

I say this because of all the hatred i see spread on this site. I realize that anyone can be a racist regardless of color. It's just sad to see us nearing the year 2007, but still dealing with ingnorant people who hate against different people of color.
I wouldnt have put this question up for answering, but i asked a simple question yesterday that had HIGHLY ignorant resposes by most, not all, of the people who responded. That simple question was "What do white women like most about black men?" I did not want an answer related in any ways to sex or other stereotypical views by some people. I got to a point that i thought about not coming to this site anymore, but if i did that, it would only tell rasists that i am weak. So in conclusion people, i ask of you to please ignore ALL rasists on this site. Whether they be black, asian, hispanic, white, or any other color.

I do agree with you to a point, Dearheart. It's alright to ignore racism to a point but one should make one's voice known -- as you have done -- that racism is wrong. Personally I think there's only one race -- Human. It's silly to classify people accourding to skin tone. Take the skin off and the only difference is size and sex. Now, come back to the site. We need people willing to stand up and answer idiotic questions from racists....even if we're just poking them.

Sorry you had to listen to all that ignorance, Aaron. And yeah, I saw it too. No worries though. For real, all those people (from whatever perspective)... bottom line is they're just insecure and jealous. That's why they gotta use all those generalizations and negative stereotypes about everyone, so they can feel "okay" about themselves. A lotta people from all races feel threatened by interracial couples. It's an unfounded and ridiculous fear; and they would never ADMIT it's fear at all. But it is. Sad.

i wish it was as easy as ignore the stupid people and they will go away. and to answer your question about white women and black men it could be that for the most part that women all talk about tall dark and handsome maybe i need to go get a suntan.

you are very true in your thinking,yet,easier said than done...when someone speaks ill of my race,the very first thing i want to do is to correct them,set them straight,i realize that i am probably doing more harm than good,wounds run very deep and the sores last for centuries,while it is better to leave ignorant people to their own thoughts,that part of me,the wounded part,who cant forget so easy, says those things,those scars scream out,it is very difficult to keep them silent yet,i am growing,listening to my elders who say,let the bad stay at their door,do not bring it to your own and since you have ask this of me also,i will not be party to their hate,i will stay silent.
