There was a song called "Electric Avenue" by Eddy Grant back in 1983 that was on pop radio every 30 minutes. It was absolutely horrible! They played about 4 notes on a synthesizer and sang "We gonna walk down to Electric Avenue" ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!
I don't think he produced another hit after-wards. But that gawd-awful song was definitely high up the charts for tooooooo long!
