It is just another way to say Thousand. Instead of I made 150 thousand last year, people say I made 150K last year. U know these days everyone is shortening everything. Its just slang like bling bling

K is short for the Greek word "kilo", which means 1000 (as in kilometer, kilogram, etc.). so if someone makes 150k, they're getting $150,000 per year.
