it's not you; i always get 2-3 emails a day telling me some guy wants to be my myspace friend, even if i've never met or heard of him/her. it's annoying.

It's a popular spot and people are constantly looking for attention. I personally don't talk to the people in my friends list unless I have to or feel like it (I could call them up, send them a message, or e-mail but I rarely post messages on profiles). They're all personal friends and I'm not a big My Space fan. Put yourself in other people's shoes.
Then again, I have a friend with a thousand people on his friend's list. We're close friends and he rarely sends me messages. For him it's a popularity contest. He'll add the milkman if he has to just to let everyone know that he's seen him somewhere.

i found a website which is similar to myspace, http://www.friendscyberclub.com/ this website has all the features of my space like the photo upload, view pictures and profiles, forum, chat, message board, also there is a leader board, just like this one, see your name on the leader board, and you can also get to the top of the leader board, this site has both the features of yahoo answers and myspace,

Myspace bites, I like having real friends that have something to say rather than virtual friends, who leave short little comments like "how did you like the party?" "how have you been?" Its lame!

it just depends on who you talk to i use myspace and ive started talking to a few ppl that are really nice n dont care how many friends they have on it....... i think u just have to be carefull who u chose as a friend
