Like the religion section, where somebody invariably states that Jesus is great, or some such thing, in the government category, every stinking question somebody answers:

"Because Bush is a great president."

I still just don't see it. What is making him great? What is the aura that surrounds his noble head? Is it because he cut your taxes a little, the corporate taxes a lot, and then ran a multi-trillion dollar deficit? I'm not gonna blame him for 9/11 (him and Clinton can share that), but what about Katrina? He saw that coming for days! Hey, Brownie, your doing a heck of a job!! Yeah, right. Come on people, that is called incompetence!

What about ratting out Valerie Plame? It is outrageous that the media (gasp) reports that Bush is running a secret surveillance program on American citizens, yet outing one of our own spies is acceptable?

And then people say, "oh, I feel sooo much safer with Bush as president!"

What a laugh! EVERY president protects the people.

grrr.

lol, interesting answers so far.

I'm not a "sheeple", but I see many here who are.

Yes, I vote also, I vote for the best candidate, not the party that I have always voted for.

ps: I'm glad nobody has accused me of being unpatriotic yet. Some do for questioning our great leader. I am very proud of my country, just not proud of the direction we have taken.

I know Plame wasn't covert at the time, but she is trained and cleared for it. Now she can never go covert if she wanted to, a waste of tax payers dollars.

whining hole?? Interesting comment, anyways...

Sticking to what he believes in. True, I give you that. Is there a point when things are not working that you have to stop and ask yourself, what could I do better? Has our modus operandi changed in Iraq since the downfall of Saddam?

Oh, I forgot to mention: did you think bushwacking Powell with bad intel for the UN brief on WMD's was a good idea?

I am so sick of you unpatriotic people constantly badmouthing the president. So what, he doesn't know what he's doing 80 percent of the time,so what he is completely incompetent in most matters and is bad for the country in a time of war, I like him cause he stands for what he believes in, don't believe what the liberal worldwide conspiracy wants you to believe, just cause he is horrible at his job and is an embarrassment to this country, doesn't mean I should criticize him, I'm just gonna keep my mouth shut, watch the country die, and drink a beer. Bush has bought extra feedback than another president in historical past. He additionally has been extra available than another president. With the web and the entire cable information channels the person can not take a drink of water with out the complete nation understanding what temperature the water is. George W. Bush must be remembered for retaining this nation cozy after nine/eleven. Very few presidents ago have needed to cross by way of what Bush has. Overall I feel historical past will likely be type to Bush.

It is a little soon to declare Pres'd Bush great. It is usually historians who judge a president great or no, and there have been some surprises. IT's what was accomplished while President that learns them greatness. History may be kind , but unless something big happens he may just treated kindly. HE will certainly be given credit for USA getting involved in Iraq, and use of Signing Statements, and as HST said "The buck stops here", so the scandals will be credited to President Bush. It is anybodies guess how blind support of Israel will be recorded or ignoring growing problems in Israel, palestine, hezbbolah.

Your blaming Katrina on Busch? He didn't leak her name. If someone is making a call to a terrorist country we should know. Anyways I like Busch because he sticks to what he believes in. He is not afraid of the tough decisions regardless of all the bad publicity he gets from people who are only thinking about an election and could care less about whats going on for real. Although I don't like some decisions he has made ,I think he is a pretty good pres, and like they use to say to me when I dogged Clinton" regardless whether you agree or not you should support your president"

Well apparently last I checked only 24% thought that he was a good president. And why is everybody so enraged about the secret surveillance. Well duh, it's been going of since I don't know the beginning of civilization. Why act so surprised. I think men in black had a perfect quote. Now don't think I'm some fanatic about the movie, I just liked the quote. "A person is smart, people are dumb." And the government is run by what, people. Sums it all up for me.

At first I thought you have to be kidding "Bush a great president". Hell I wouldn't even trust him with a drivers licence. Then I read your post.

I do believe he will go down in history as the worst president this nation has ever seen. My only hope is that he doesn't take the whole democratic process with him.

Because that's what Fox news, CNN and goofball Pat Robertson want you to think.

Look at it this way. . .Supposedly only 50-55% of the population actually voted (personally I THINK it is LESS). . . and Bush won by approx 51%. . .now do the math. . .That's less than THREE in TEN people are FOR this moron!!

Therefore, we are stuck with the biggest abomination of them all, and yes I used one of their Christian terms so maybe they'll get it through their hillbilly heads...DWI Bush...Antichrist!! Isn't it ironic it was the Christian Moral Majority who voted him in!!!!!???????
