Physically, it's not bad. emotionally, it could be, since she's so young. People can get pregnant anytime after they start ovulating (getting a period). She needs your support; it is good to be concerned for her. Marriage and babies will be very stressful, especially so close to each other. Be there for her as much as you can!

Obviously you said the 'age of 16' thing to get attention to your other question, because you know all about your sister having been pregnant. I don't think that it's bad for your sister to be having a second child at 20. I knew a girl in high school who was having her second at 16.

It's good that she got married, but it may be bad if she only got married because she got pregnant again.

I'm 21 and have an almost-6-month-old (born when I was 20), and my boyfriend and I are planning to be married. We were planning on it before the pregnancy, but hadn't told anyone yet, but then when I found out I was pregnant, we decided to put off getting married, mostly because my parents don't really like him, and my family would've been convinced that we only did it because of the baby.

You know your sis got pregnant at 16, right ? Well....there you go.

I've heard of GIRLS getting pregnant as early as age 11. The safest sex is to stay clear of it. Tough to do, so responsibility and condom use is recommended.

As for your sister--relax: I'm sure she's happy and doing fine.

NO...it's not bad for your sister. There would be some health concerns if she were a lot older, perhaps in her late 30's or 40's...

It's going to set a terrible example for her children.

Did she marry the daddy of baby one or is that a foregone conclusion?

Having a Baby IS NOT BAD, AND SINCE SHE IS MARRIED SHE WILL BE JUST FINE BE SUPPORTIVE AND BE HAPPY FOR YOUR SISTER, WE ALL MAKE MISTAKES, AND WHAT IS IMPORTANT IS LEARNING FROM OUR MISTAKES. AND YES IF YOU ARE HAVING A PERIOD/CYCLE THEN THIS MEANS YOU CAN GET PREGNANT.
