Mcgwire retired in 2001, baseball didn't make steroid use against the rules until 2003...As far as I know Bonds nor Sosa has tested positive for any banned substance...I guess hitters were the only ones using? Pitchers didn't use? The rules were unequal in favor of the batters? We are now going to hold players responsible for rule changes, retroactively? Some day baseball may make smoking, drinking, chewing, cussing and chasing women against the rules, then they will have to empty the HOF??..
Bonds deserves to be in the HOF for his all around great play, Mcgwire is a maybe, Sosa is an even bigger maybe..
Pete Rose my ***, Pete broke the cardinal rule of baseball, it is posted in EVERY ML locker room "DO NOT BET ON BASEBALL" .every year, everyone associated with baseball gets both verbal and written warnings NOT to bet on baseball games...Pete Rose knew what he was doing was wrong and spit on baseball...

Absolutely, but not before Rose should be. All 3 (meaning McGwire, Sosa, and Bonds) have been incredible players for a long time. If that's due to steroid use or not is irrelevant. However, that being said, Rose should be inducted immediately. He should be inducted as a player, not as a manager. He wasn't a great manager to begin with, so I don't know what the big deal is.

They have to be in consideration. Everyone has to be considerated. They are all innocent until proven guilty and until Bud Selig says that they have used steroids and bans them for life, then you can count them out. But just because they can vote for them doesn't mean that they will. With all those accusing comments on performance enhancing drugs, the writers will probably stray away from the vote. Personally, I believe that McGwire and Sosa have used steroids but I think Bonds is innocent. Yeah, I said it. There are no performance enhancing drugs that help the batter's eye. And Bonds has one of the best in history.

Not in my opinion. I don't understand why McGwire, Sosa, and others aren't getting as much heat from the press as Bonds. I don't admire any one of them but it seems like B.B. is the media whipping boy for all that is wrong for baseball. I do understand that he is a part of a federal investigation, but why aren't the other cheaters being investigated by baseball? Is it because baseball condoned the use of P.E.D.'s ?

No,but I think they would be great candidates to work for michelin tires as The Michelin Men,anyway, with all the drugs they took, they can open a drug store since they know most of the drugs out in the market. If Pete Rose is not admitted into Cooperstown, neither should these individuals

Not if they took steroids to achieve their respective records.
Babe Ruth's grand daughter is on record saying that while she realizes the (Hank Aaron) home run record will never remain unbroken, if Bonds is found guilty of steroid use, then he should be stripped of the home runs he hit while on them.
The big question is, how many of them were earned via steroids?
After all, what kind of message is this sending to children and Little Leaguers?

YES THEY SHOULD AND HERE IS WHY:
I've played baseball 3 years of college baseball and ive seen the steroid issue first hand. just because you take steroids doesnt make you a stud. you still have to have the hand-eye coordination, the discipline to lay off pitches, and the savy to react in certain situations.
yeah.. it will give an unfair advantage to someone who is already outstanding. but all baseball looks at is the homerun hitters. what about the players leading in stolen bases.. Steroids sure would help them get faster..
Im sure people disagree with me.. but i was bored and wanted to voice my opinion.
