If it tried yes.
It could be a burnt land that looked like the moon.
You did not say how long to do it in but if the order came a new rolling thunder campaign could turn every thing there to gravel.
Or a few of the big nukes could make the whole region glow for a long time.
If you wanted to take it to the extreme within a day or so it could be made that the most intelligent life left could be a cockroach

If the US really wanted to do it, we have enough nuclear weapons to boil every inch of Earth's surface. So yes, we could destroy Israel. But there would be intense international retribution for destroying israel, and there's no way we could "conquer" the rest of the world without literally destroying it. However; if you're talking about some sort of ground offensive, we could go in with the entire US armed forces and conquer it. I'm not saying that it would be easy, but it's doable. The Israelis - and this is a fact - have the best trained army in the world. Per soldier, Israel spends three times as much money as the US does. But the US has an army about the size of Israel's entire population, and Israel is so small that someone could walk the length of it in a day or two, so If the US really wanted to take over Israel it would have little problem.

The US could not and would not destroy Israel because first of all God loves these people and wouldn't allow it . Second the US is on their side
