this is what i wore for an interview... actually for an internship.. but it worked, because i got it =] it was for elle magazine.. its awesome! this is what i wore... i would go for something trendy, yet sophisticated.. i'm a fashion major...

a black feminine suit, but with a matching skirt instead of pants, and at the bottom, it had a few ruffles... under it, i wore a white shirt with some detailing on the top and black heels.. it was a great outfit! i'll give u some pictures to see, but i actually got the idea from the show What Not To Wear on TLC.. they have a lot of people who need business clothes on it, so they show a lot of business clothes...

best of luck at the interview!

You know what looks good on you (I hope) so use that as a base. The right pants, great blouses and tops, skirts the look good on you, not more than 3" above the knee. Nothing sleeveless or tank unless worn under a jacket or blazer. A full suit is going to far business. No flip-flops, sneakers, or any other casual shoes. Look in stores like Ann Taylor, Talbot's, Chico's, and others like it. You want to go for conservative version of what you would normally wear. No mini skirts, tube tops, hip huggers, etc...
If you are still unsure, go to Zappos.com and look at the dress category for shoe ideas, and Nordstrom.com and look at the savvy category for clothing ideas. Since it's just an interview, I wouldn't recommend buying anything new and expensive in case you don't get the job. I'm not trying to be insulting, but you'll be really upset with a $500 skirt if you don't get it.
