I support him and I live in a liberal state. When I was at college I was berated everyday for supporting him but I still do. Unlike most people that get into political discussions I dont do it to "look smart" or to "be popular", I say things that I think are the best action to take. I care more about the welfare of our country than being popular.

Of course he can. He was elected and unless impeached he is legally the president until January 2008. SO even if he really did not have any hard core supporters, which he does because I am one of them, he is our president.
