i agree with summerdaze; also, let me pose this: do you (un-offensively) understand freedom? Even i volunteered to give my life as my forefathers did defending our constitution and our freedoms, including individual rights (notice i said individual and NOT women's rights, or black rights. or human rights because once individual rights are protected then EVERYONE'S rights will be protected), and our way of life. Fortunately, for me, it did not end up costing me my life. Now let's get down to the nitty gritty; ALL this mess in the world is CAUSED by, 1st, religion, and the leaders of religion, because they sacrifice the lives of the innocent and unknowing so they can keep their false powers and unearned incomes from the masses, all in the name of a god that was originally created by mankind still in the caves, and later became embellished upon
until it evolved into the god that masses worship today and kill each other over... DUHHH! And 2nd by the arm-backed bureaucrats that have no compunction about mass murder to keep the uninformed and gullible in the dark as to the fact that they are NOT NEEDED. does that answer your question?

uhhh, they have been fighting there for thousands of years and whats been solved? thats right not a goddamnthing...
You would think 'developed' countries like the US would begin to realize that using force to make a whole culture of people drasticaly change the way we see fit is just not going to happen. By using violence and war to muscle our foreign policy around the region only serves to alienate the west and further widen the gap between our cultures. Instead of using peaceful, economicly long-term benifical means to stablize the middle east, we go for the easy quick fix 'bust theirass' approach which has proved ooohhh so effective...

The fight in Afghanisthan is worth it because we are going after the people who attacked us. The Iraq war is nothing more than a personal agenda of Bush and his administration.

I don't know, if the Middle East feels as if it is then I guess they had to fight. I don't really believe in war, but I guess sometimes you gotta step out of your boundaries and do what's best and get it over with.

because of the fact greed and jealous are 2 very helpful thoughts and motivators. they are approximately 2 hundred years in the back of human beings (the West) in terms of compassion...we've been doing the comparable issues ourselves as we invaded different international locations, tried to colonize them, and used faith as an excuse to make warfare. regrettably those days, their weapons are lots greater deadly than the muskets our forefathers used, so we actually can not wait a pair of hundred years for them to get their act together. Like us, they have been combating because of the fact the commencing up of humanity whilst they settled those areas and commenced combating for territory and ingredients.

No. It's only going to create more terrorist by the time those innocent little kids grow up who are climbing out of the rubble ... who have nothing left to live for because their family is dead.

Worth it??? Hopefully a LOT of terrorists will be "martyred". Then they will be a lot LESS terrorists to kill the rest of us "infidels". Then there will be a lot LESS terrorists to kill innocent woman and children. Then there will be a lot LESS terrorists to kill American soldiers. I'm just not seeing a whole lot of bad in ANY of this.
