Your state secretary of state or county clerk should have the necessary forms, It's a simple matter of taking a short class, submitting the forms and paying a fee. You will also have to pay for your stamp, logbook and a bond. A very low cost procedure and a very handy little tool.

In some states notaries can draft some legal documents and perform marriages. A notary can also charge for his/her services so it's an easy way to make some extra cash. Contact your secretary of state for more information.

Go to your local courthouse and tell them that you want to become a notary, you should be able to fill out a form and pay them some money and have it done in no time.
