Wikipedia is an online encyclopedia of sorts where people edit and create entries themselves. (This is quite noticable, considering how big some things like the Simpsons and Lord of the Rings have huge parts)
Wikipedia is owned by the Wikimedia foundation, which also runs a online dictionary, thesaurus, and other things (all with the principle of people creating and editing things themselves)

wikipedia is a dictionary/encyclopedia. Sometimes they will list synonyms or antonyms, but it is an information website that allows others to add factual information. This keeps it growing and up-to-date.
It is an EXCELLENT site for information. It also has links to MORE information about the topic.
