You probably have a high metabolism, and you are 15, so you are still growing and developing. You might thyroid also might be over active, which is called hyper thyroid. It could be making your metabolism go at a abnormally fast rate. You also probably have small bones. There are a couple of important things you should be doing. 1. Getting enough calcium ( people with small bones are at a high risk for osteoporsis, you can take a suppliment with you vitamens) Take a multivitamen, you could also try protien shakes, but don't load up on sugar or fat to try to gain weight, it's not good for your arteries. One more thing that is really good for you, and could actually help you gain weight is doing some weight training, it will help you build strengh, get toned, gain weight ( muscle weighs more then fat) and help strengthen your bones. I would talk to you doctor about what you should do. Good luck!

At 15, the body is going through enormous changes. You're getting taller, the bones are getting thicker, the hormones are raging. In addition, the teen years are the most active. It is therefore important to have good nutritious food, food that will help your body grow strong and healthy. Don't worry that you're thinner than your peers despite the quantity you eat, as long as you're eating ONLY healthy food. Your metabolism is fast, that's all.
Metabolism does slow down with age so establish good eating habits now. Believe me, when your metabolism slows down, every ounce of junk food you put in your mouth will appear as a lump where you don't want it.

Don't feel bad. I didn't break 100 pounds until my junior year in college, but I was perfectly healthy. Some people are just naturally thin, especially at your age. Chances are, when you're 43 like me, you'll be trying to lose a few pounds (like I am!) So enjoy it while you have it. The metabolism WILL slow down eventually.

Probably nothing is wrong. My best friend is 20, she weighs 70 pounds and eats all the time and the doctors all say nothing is wrong with her! You just have a high metabolism, thats all!

You probably have a very high metabolism, as long as the doctors say that you will fine...then you will. If you are very concerned then talk to a specialist(the type of doctor that works on growth and weight)
