What is your opinion on how the series will end? Do you think Harry will live or die? And who do you think the two characters JKR said will die are?

Actually, what she said was that two additional characters to the others she had already planned were going to die. The wizarding world is in a state of war, and death has to happen in order to make it realistic.

As much as I don't like it, I think it is totally possible that J.K. Rowling might kill off Harry. If you remember the article, she said that there is a good side to killing off your main character. When she is dead and gone, no one will be able to come back and write Harry because he already died; it would be satisfactory to know that no one will come back and take over you masterpiece.

Here is a list of people besides Harry that I think might perish.

Ron: Besides being Harry's best mate, we haven't really seen him prove himself in times of danger and battle. He showed his strengths back in Book 1 when during the giant chess match during the hunt for the Philosopher's Stone. There is a theory that Ron will sacrifice himself for Harry in the final match against Voldemort.

Pettigrew: Do I have to explain it? Let's see... He betrayed the Potters, he helped Voldemort get his body back, and is an all-around bad guy. I think it's time to go, and that the life-debt that he has to Harry will be involved somehow.

Draco: I think that apart from being "bad", Draco is really a tragic character. His family are Death Eaters. He's got a lot to live up to. I got the kind of feeling that he was forced in the Book 6 to serve Voldemort. All the stress he underwent, the frustration, the anxiety... I mean, the poor boy was misguided. Remember that he is only about 17. People can make horrible mistakes when they are at that age. Unfortunately in Draco's case, it might cost him his life. He's in too deep.

Professor Trelawney: I think there is a possibility of her death in Book 7. She's always predicting how people will die, and seeing strange, dark omens everywhere. I think that is a kind of subtle foreshadowing. She sees death everywhere, why can't it be hers? I just wonder how this would play out, and how important it would be to the actual plot.

Percy: Hmm... Anyone sure which side he is really on?

Who will get a reprieve? (JKR said in a very recent interview that she gave a certain character a reprieve from dying) I have an inkling that it is one of the Dursleys.... or Snape.

None of Harry's experiences at Hogwarts are real. Hogwarts is a fantasy world that Harry created to cope with his terrible life. Hear me out:

Harry's parents died when he was a baby. Growing up without his parents would have been traumatic enough. Worse than that, he has to go live with with his abusive, neglectful, generally awful aunt and uncle. Harry creates Hogwarts as an escape from his real life. Think about it: Magic is real? Harry just happens to be a wizard? His parents didn't die in some random accident, but instead died nobley, his mother sacrificing her life to save Harry. Not only is Harry a wizard, but he's the ONLY person who can kill Voldemort?

Now, Rowling probably won't go this direction, but it does make sense. Also, Harry will live, and Snape will be one of the characters who die.

My take is that Harry will be killed. She said in an interview article that she can understand why other authors want to kill off the main character before the story is over, so Harry is a good guess. I'm thinking that Hermione will live, Malfoy will be injured severely and may die after, but Ron is going to die as well.

Voldemort will live, he'll win the war, Hermione will be taken as a 'prize of war' and most likely given as a 'gift' or reward to Snape. Either him or one of the others, maybe even Malfoy's father...

I really hope Harry does NOT die. But there is a possibility of both Harry and Voldermort dying during their battle. I guess we just have to wait and see, when is the book gonna be out anyway?

No one knows for sure...

but I really think that Harry will die because JK said she doesn't want any crazy fanfictions written about what he will do after the series ends.

I don't think Harry will die

Obviously Voldemort. My guess is Ginny. I'd be surprised if she killed Ron or Hermione, after such a huge fan response to their relationship. She said a major character got a reprieve, my guess is that it is one of those two that were originally slated to die.

I think that Voldemort is going to be one of the ones who dies and maybe Harry since the author does not want any one to keep writing books to her series.

Harry Potter will die. I dont think Steven King can convince her not to. Its her book and she has been planning it for a while.

i'm no longer extremely advantageous why you want spoilers, yet oh nicely. Harry does not come decrease back to Hogwarts, yet no longer through fact of Hogwarts ultimate. (Spoiler-it is not ultimate.) Harry does not proceed to verify Ginny. (yet another spoiler-she does pass to Hogwarts). Ron & Hermione do comprise Harry.
