FInd a sales career within your current field of work. You have a better chance of getting a career that way since you already have some kind of knowledge of the field. Otherwise, try to sell mortgages, etc. I hear they hire anybody, since your pay is almost 100% tied to your performance.

Fire Alarm Technician. I was making $18 an hour after only 5 years in the business then those bastards knocked the Trade Center down and I'm stuck in Afghanistan. Going back to it when I'm done here.

The hottest career, by far, is working on the highway in Arizona in July. Otherwise, start boning up for those SATs, genius.

Slim pickings for a future with no degree. I think your mainly stuck with service industry jobs and clerical/secretarial type jobs. Not that many offer good pay and/or benefits.
If you go to a temp agency, they will evaluate your skills and see if they can place you in a job. I've heard of many people who've had really good luck with them.
