probally because a) they are jealous or b) they think so much of the person they dont think the person they are with is good enough for them. though they would probally think that about anyone they hook up with

It's a Cinderella concept. The person was waiting for them and one day across a crowded room or street their eyes would meet and the celeb would be swept away with how ordinary and good they were. This, of course, only applies to the very young - the older ones are just crazy.

People like to fantasize and, when there's a mate in the celeb's life, then that kinda shoots down the fantasy.

people keep up with celebrities as though they are personal friends with them. They're interested in the lives of the rich and famous and beautiful. Most know that they don't have a realistic 'chance' with them, but they don't want to see them with someone that they might not like.

well. everyone fantasize for that chance when their fav celeb are single, but once they are married, that means fantasy broken.

very true.... I guess their dream comes to a screetching holt when celebs get married.. they can no longer live vicariously through them.
