I'm writing an essay, and I need some words to describe these sentences:
"He doesn't like to go into detail about his past"
"He doesn't care about life"

any words to describe those sentences?

Well, the first one obviously signifies that there was something sad or traumatic in the person's past. Think about adjectives that describe saddness and sorrow.

The second one... Describe something like hopelessness, and knowing that tomarrow won't be any brighter than today. The tone of this one has to be different from the previous one, in the way that it feels like compleate and utter depression, while the previous one is more of something that's embarrising or uncomfortable.

He doesn't like to go into detail about his past:

Reserved, secretive, mysterious, coy, reticent, aloof, diffident.

He doesn't care about life:

Apathetic, unmotivated, lackadaisical, indifferent, detached, languid.

I hope this helps! (And good luck with your essay.)
