I'm half Italian and half Lebanese. I visited Beirut, Lebanon last year and it's a beautiful, liberal city with amazing nightlife and beautiful women. I loved the clear beachs, night clubs, and resturants. I've visited Paris and Rome and Beirut is next on my list of favorite cities. It breaks my heart to see it destroyed and the American media making it out to be this city with religious extremists. It's not.
*and BTW there are no deserts in Lebanon

to bad that the Lebanese army did not take control of south Lebanon, and if they did in the past 6 years then you will not ask this question now. a terror group is in the Lebanese government. and the Hezbollah are all over the place. nassralla's picture is in every house in Lebanon. so now you are telling us that there is no extremist in Beirut?. take the Hezbollah out of Lebanon and believe me it will be again the Paris of the area.

Because like in any other fight, it makes it easier to defend your own point of view if you can justify it by saying we are the good guys, so the others must be the bad guys. And in this case, the bad guys are the Hezbollah who are holed up in Lebanon and using its people as human shields. Of course, reality is never that well black-and-white defined.

I don't think Beirut is a city of extremists, but what do you expect israel to do while Hezbollah is sending rockets into israel. Its his fault not Israels and definitely not Americas.
