Christmas in Utah is beautiful....sometimes even white. I live in the suburbs outside of Salt Lake City....Temple Square in downtown Salt Lake is gorgeous! A zillion lights and music concerts every night. There is another fun place in Lehi (SLC suburb) called Thanksgiving Point that has zillions of lights and entertainment. Skiing is awesome in December. Park City is a fabulous destination during the holidays. Tons of shopping and excellent food. Lodging is plentiful too.

Mormons totally celebrate Christmas....December in my life is CRAZY! Come on down for the holidays!

Um, you're thinking of the wrong religion hun. Mormons DO celebrate Christmas. Jehova's Witnesses do not. Christmas is one of the best times to visit Utah! The Mormon Tabernacle Choir has concerts, the entire Temple Square is lit up with Christmas lights and Utah has some of the best skiing in the world! They also have fun intertube rides in Park City, Utah

As the others stated, Utah is gorgeous at Christmas. If by "celebrate" you mean "party!" try going up to Park City. There are a lot of shops and bars and more partying in the evening.

I don't know where you got the idea that Mormons don't celebrate Christmas, but you're just plain wrong.
Temple square is always beautiful during Christmas. There used to be carolers at the malls in SLC and the surrounding cities (West Valley City Mall used to have them about 15 years ago - then we moved)
If you're going to give people something to be upset at Mormon's for, at least make it something real - like maybe the continued 'baptism for the dead' of the Jews - even after they agreed not to.

Not everyone is mormon there. They do celebrate christmas and Utah is probably one of the more scenic states in the union, that's my opinion. Christmas exists in the heart and has become soooo commercial and materialistic....The big guy (upstairs) out did himself on scerery there!

Mormons do celebrate Christmas. Temple Square is lit up with millions of lights and you do not even have to be mormon to go and see them. The senery is beautiful there and the skiing and snowboarding are great! I miss it there in the winter time!

Have you ever watch public television at Christmas. The Morman Tabernacle Choir is singing a gargantuan amount of Christmas songs, and they have Christmas trees all over the place.

Are you getting them confused with Jehovah's Witnesses? Bot groups have people who go "door to door"
