Yes, I live in Utah. I also happen to be a Mormon, as many say, or more correctly, a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Utah is a great state! I moved here 2 years ago from central California. The air is cleaner, the people are nicer, and there are so many things to do here! Provo, Utah is mostly Mormon, but the rest of the state is very diversified. In fact, there are more "Mormons" in California and other states than there are in Utah. Check it out! Lots of fun stuff to do here.

I live here in Salt Lake City, Utah. 80% of the population is Mormon. I've lived here my whole life (21 years), I'm not a mormon, and I can't wait to get out! When the mormons find out your not a mormon, they get this attitude of I'm better then you, unless they know you are a visitor to the state, then they try to convert you! Utah has a culture bubble here, it is definitely not like any place else in the world. Take that as you want. There are certain blocks in the city that the Mormon church has bought and placed their own laws on. Like on Temple Square and the surrounding blocks it is against the law to spit, swear or try to convert people to other religions. The Mormon church is a huge part of the government here in Utah. Alcohol can only be sold in the State liquor stores, which close at 10 o'clock and closed on sunday, or Bars, last call for alcohol is at 1:30 a.m.
So if you come to Utah go down south, or way up north, where it's fun!

Yes, Utah has many Mormons. I don't live in Utah, but I have visited. As someone who has traveled all over the USA, I think Utah is among the most beautiful states. Also, the people there tend to have respect for each other, and the environment.

Idaho is next to utah, and is full of mormons. doing social work out here i noticed that there is a lot of physical and sexual abuse in lds families. in fact some mormons believe that a girl's first sexual experience should be with their father, and there is a hospital near twin falls, id that has a wing dedicated to the children that come from these 'relationships'. mormons also believe that women can't get into heaven without their husbands 'pulling' them up into heaven.
there are books, try amazon. i have several. wow they are screwed up.

I'm not a fan of cults, but it would be great to have a view of mountains from my backyard.
No I haven't been to Utah or anywhere near Utah, but I'm pretty sure I've flown over it a few times.

Utah is the traditional home of the Mornon religious sect. Yes there are a lot of them there. Yes I've been there .It is a beautiful place.Mountans,if that's your "thing",Hot in the summer,(it's considered to be "high desert".But cold in the winter.Great ski areas.A lake you can swim in where it's almost imposible to drown(the salt content makes you float).Lots of history,And the fastest cars in the world run on the salt flats.(wear sun glasses if you go.The sun glare is like snow blindness in Alaska when it reflects off the salt flats)The Mormon Tabernacle in Sakt Lake City is a great siye to see also.
