I think he is basically an egotistic racist! His Dad thinks the Holocaust never happened and he tries to tell everyone how he is so great and then gets drunk and spews racist remarks against Jewish people!

It's irrelevant whether I think they did, what makes the difference is that he seems to think they did. The problem is, after the release of "passion of the Christ", many Jewish people believed he slanted the film with an anti-Semitic tone. At the time, he publicly denied any anti-Semitic intent, and swore that he suffered no such bias. Now, here he comes out, allegedly making "Despicable" comments about a cop he thought might be Jewish while being arrested. In his statements since then, Mel has tried to divert attention away from the anti-Jewish aspects of it and spin the issue toward an alcohol problem. Now, it may well be that Mel Gibson has a problem with drinking, and that is an issue he should take action on. However, I have NEVER accepted "I was Drunk" as an excuse for saying and doing wrong. All alcohol does is lower your inhibitions, not suddenly implant evil thoughts in your mind. If you get drunk and start spouting off like a neo-Nazi skinhead, I believe that means you think like a neo-Nazi skinhead and simply have a greater ability to keep your mouth shut about it when you're sober. The bottle doesn't change the evil, it merely lets it out.

First, the man has issues and he should get them straightened out before he steps into a major pile of Tidy and burn himself beyond redemption. He's a good actor and director, but his personal demons will be his undoing if he doesn't get help and fast!

Second, this particular incident is being blown up beyond sanity's sake. Yeah, the man said some dumb things while he was drunk and he should be punished. BUT...it's not like killing fifty teenage girls and setting their heads on a shelf so you could hear their angel voices! That would warrant hardcore coverage, not this little tiff. Smack Mel on the head, get him some therapy, break a few deals so he'll know what he did was really wrong and not to do it again, and then move on, people! There are other more weightier matters to attend to.

Aside from that, I couldn't care more either way. People start wars for the silliest things. Wake me when the next conflict is started over an XBox 360.

so what if that's what he thinks let him be!!!! that whats wrong with the world we can't say how we REALLY feel about anything. people are always saying how stuck up white people are and how we have all this money? if a person dose not like a race of people let them have their say who does it hurt anyway? oh someones damn feeling got hurt so what, he did not kill or mame anyone? i am so SICK of this PC world we live in, it's coming to a head and i can see it's going to BLOW. i am tired of the gays wanting this and the illegals want that and this race wants more of what you got!!!!!!! you see simple rules for EVERYONE and if you can live by these rules then die by them. the Bible has ten great ones that if 70% of the world lived by these we would be in a much better place. time to rise up people tell your so-called leaders we are not going to take this ANYMORE time is now for us to take back America and make it strong like it was when i was young. we can make an grow everything we need to support this nation, where everyone has a job. then and only then we could offer help to other who asked for our help!!!! God has Blessed America but he can also not bless us, as it seems he his doing. we need to get someone in office who has a backbone and will stand up and say this is America if you do not love her leave her, and here is your ticket out!!!!! i am sick of all this speak nice of the jews, blacks, hispanics. come on people "stick and stones can break my bones but your words can not ever HURT me" my Mother an Grandmother said do they hit you "no" i'd say do they throw rocks at you "no" i'd say . and they would always say its just words, they can't hurt you. they were RIGHT.

He is only human, but he is a role model for a lot of people so I think he should have enough sense to watch what he says and does out in public. I think the media does go a bit to far overboard on a lot of this kind of stuff though.

If it is true what he said it was wrong of him. But who knows what is true...and after all he is human and it wouldn't be a huge deal if he was a nobody..
