a republic nation allows a terrorist group to fire on israel.? didnt Lebanese govt know ? How did these rockets get into their country without any knowledge?The hazebollah has been amassing weapons for the last six years... surely the Lebanese people knew and didnt care..... so why cry now agaisnt Israel?

I am a Lebanese and I its more complex then its seems to be ...
I will try to explain.
Syria have occupied Lebanon for 30 Years until 2005.
During that time , Syria and Iran have made Hezbollah and provide them with weapons .... The ultimate goal of Hezbollah is transforming Lebanon to a Muslim country ( 9 millions Lebanese Christians lives abroad 3 times of the Lebanese population) .
In 2005 , The Christians (42%) and the Muslims Sunni (23%) and the Druzes (6%) have made a revolution against Syria "CEDARS REVOLUTION" .... Hezbollah(Muslims Shiaa 26%) is Left alone in Lebanon ....and the Lebanese pressure to disarm Hezbollah was growing ... until July 2006 ....

did ireland like the irsh liberation terrorist ppl? no, what could they do..... not much. sorry to say it, but fighting terrorism is prolly the hardest thing any govt can fight, because just by chaning your outward appearance, you can hide.... the hezbollah also control a large part of that country, thus the lebanese govt cant say too much, or find itself in a war with the terrorists. mso what we are seeing now is a conflict between leb. and isreal, because they wont stand up to the terrorists. if they would do what china did hundreds of years ago and say shape up or we will kill you families, friends, kids, dogs, cows ... etc etc.... then hezbollah would run for the hills and we would have peace....
my question to you is... what happened to total warfare.... google search the civil war and then search contents for total warfare.... i believe its the only way we can avoid WWIII

The entire government of Lebanon has been compromised by the Hezbollah gang. They are the ones who truly run the streets. The Lebanese government wouldn't be able to do anything about them if they tried.

Money talks and BS walks... The open borders with Syria and the wide open acceptance of the ideology of Hezbollah means that the fragile Lebanese government is left alone to enjoy whatever form of peace and profit they could eek out of that relationship.
The borderless groups that terrorists are survive because of the ability to operate outside of government accountability. Trying to hold terrorists responsible for their methods often means a fatwa is headed your way and you become the enemy.
Kinda like GW Bush's if ya' ain't fer us yer agin us...

Hezbollah is Lebanon...Lebanon is Hezbollah...they have seats in their Parliament for heaven's sake...they provide services to the Lebanese...soley to keep them on their side...they are entrenched...sadly and are bent on the the destruction of Israel and anyone who supports them.

i think the Lebanese gov. knows that Hezbollah is bad for his country, but they see them *** the only thing that is blocking Israel from taking the whole country. and i also agree with lou.

Well, they don't like Hezbollah, however they have no control over them and the reason why they're getting pissed at Israel is because they keep killing their civilians.

Maybe we the American public are not being told the whole story.
We are getting a bunch of propraganda these days in order for the rich, powerful, and elite to do exactly as they please and achieve thier agenda irregardless of the human loss.
