Yao won't eat shark fin soup anymore, so he says.
Does anyone care? Shouldn't he be working on boxing out, posting up and strength-training?
Does anyone really like sharks? I don't. The world doesn't need sharks. I don't know why he wants to save them.

Good point. I don't want to eat a shark... grose. But, all sharks do is kill people.

I like it. How would you people above me like it if your limbs were cut off and you were just left to die? If it was a cute cuddly puppy everybody would care but not for a shark. I'm not one of those eco freaks but i'm just not a person that want's a species to become extinct because of us humans again. What gave us the right to decide that other living beings are okay to kill? but if a human was killed that would be bad. What gave us the right to decide everything in this earth? We have the power to destroy the entire Earth but we also have the power to save it. If you're okay about the extinction of sharks then would you be okay with the extinction of cows and chickens as well? When we have killed off the last animals on Earth do we start eating each other?

it's cool. I'm glad a major sports figure is making a stand for the environment, especially in china.
in china there is a tv comercial of yao playing bball, and suddenly a poacher is about to shoot an elephent. yao runs of the court and jumps into the line of fire, taking the bullet in the chest for the elephant. TRUE STORY! thats so funny, i wish i could see it.
