absolutely you can and you dont even feel it. the first day i got my period i had swimming lessons that day. so i had to use a tampon. i was scared that the string would show or that it would fall out but it did'nt! of coarse it wont fall out but people swim when they have a tampon in, believe me you can't feel it. it might releave your cramps, especially if the pool is heated. and the tampon does'nt absorb the water from the pool, dont know how it does'nt lol. good luck with swimming hun =)

Hi,

It is possible to swim during your period as the water pressure is likely to stop your menses from flowing while you swim.

Should you want to swim while you have your period, then you would have to use a tampon. It is not that difficult to use. You just need a little bit of practice.

As for cramps, i think swimming is likely to help relief the cramps rather than make it worse. If the others in your swim team can do it, I can't see why you can;t.

The only question is: Do you want to? ;)

If you really loved swimming, I guess all of the above wouldn't be a problem, would it? ;)

Actually excersice is GREAT for cramps. It would probably do you a world of good to take a swim and work the cramps away. Tampons are easy to use and come with instructions in the box. Good Luck!
