I live in Virginia and support all of our minor league teams here. I also travel to DC and Raleigh to check out several NHL games during the season. I play hockey throughout the year, usually playing in two or three divisions at a time. Furthermore, I have hockey memorabilia displayed in my home. Finally, I do everything I can to promote the game to my family and friends with the hope that they will become huge fans too.

A cold hard hockey fan is someone who eats, sleeps, breathes hockey. Their world is centered around the game and/or their favorite team.

lives, breaths hockey. ive been on skates since i was 2 years old, and i played my entire life and still do. if I'm not at the rink I'm playing at a frozen pond or outdoor rink even when its -30 outside...oh by the way i live in Canada it get pretty cold out here.
Hockey is simply the greatest sport ever on the face of this earth, and to the people that put the game down have never even tried to play this game, or they just say it sucks cause they tried skating but cant. give it a try and play its the best game ever period.

Over a 3 day weekend last year, in person I saw NCAA hockey (Denver vs Colorado College) on Friday night in Colorado Springs.

Saturday was the Avalanche and the Calgary Flames (NHL)

Sunday I drove to Loveland, CO to watch the CHL Colorado Eagles beat the Amarillo Gorrilas...

Gotta love the puck!

Well, for example, I drove for 3 1/2 hours to get to a Bruins game in Boston on Dec 1, 2003 through a blizzard. It was Boston v. Philly. The final score was 1-1 and I loved it! How's that for a definition?

By the way . . . congrats to the Canes. Excellent series.

A fan who cheers for a losing team all the time. That is die-hard. It is easy to jump on a band wagon. Or any Toronto Maple leaf fan born after 1967.

Jewelz your not important becuase you go to a bar that the pens go to and a die hard fan is not one who knows the players usually those are just creepy girls who need a life and need to realize no pro player is gonna marry them. A die hard fan is 1 who is from Buffalo and simply loves the game and even if they played the sport or not think it is the greatest game ever. GO SABRES!!
