i myself havea short workout before i go to bed and personally i find it very relaxing, it makes me worn out and ready to go to bed and sleep, i get some of the best nights of sleep after a rigorous workout the night before.

Because of the heat wave most of us are living through - go work out at the gym for 30 minutes and then hop in the pool and do 30-60 minutes of lap swimming! Then a nice shower and you are ready for the drive home and sleep!

I wouldn't. I would do it when as soon as I woke up. Because if you done it before you went to bed you wouldn't be able to sleep as well, you would be energized, and it would make your day better if you did it of the morning time, that way it would get your metabolism up and running.

It will cause it to be difficult to go to sleep, but health-wise I do not think it is dangerous. Just be sure to cool down afterwards with a few minutes of walking to lower your heart rate.
