More natural makeup is beautiful. No makeup at all can be beautiful too. Lots of women feel that they can't leave the house without makeup on -- I think this is attributed to society's push of "miracle products" that women believe will change their lives. If a women feels more confident wearing a bit of makeup, then by all means she should wear it. But caking on the foundation and mascara is a bit over-the-top. The soft, natural look is totally in!

I don't like to wear foundation, but I use a tinted moisturizer to even out my skin. I agree about lots of makeup. I go with most nothing in the summer, because it sweats off anyways, but I do NOT go without lipstick, ever! I have had too many people ask if I am sick when I pass on the lipstick. Even then, it is usually neutral.

I think this would be a great question to ask a magazine that shows all those models and celebrities all airbrushed and dolled up. It's a little difficult these days to not look like what we see on magazine covers these days, unfortunately. Of course not everybody is affected by what they see on the covers, but on the other hand there is a great number of women who are. Not everybody is so confident enough to not care about what they see in the media. This is really sad.

Great answers, but here's an opinion from an "older woman", one who is lucky enough to look pretty young. I don't wear "thick, heavy makeup". I do a bit of eye shadow, liner and mascara, then some blush and lipstick. No foundation. And that's it.

firstly a women needs to understand her skin...if she likes makeup she should knew when its too thick or too thin...makeup applies to everything ...applied on the face isnt it ....
is putting on powder with a hint of skin nude colour considers makeup? would you feel disgusted to kiss her then?
you should learn to appreciate that makeup is about self confidence for some women...applying makeup is about enchancing your features at its best not making it drastic looking and makes u look different totally without them.
go kiss some women who knew to apply her makeup....which is more natural looking ....healthy skin ....haha then you dun have to worry about getting it on @ the same time when your doing your stuff....or ask her get some medicated makeup :)
then you can get healthy skin too LOL

My theory on make-up is this: First off, I don't want to look like a Barbie Doll and wear pounds of make-up. Secondly, have you ever seen those magazines that say "Stars Without Make-up" and everyone laughs over how bad they look? I would prefer people to look and me and think I look fine normally but even better with a little make-up instead of "she looks like a goblin without make-up!" and that's my opinion.

They probably don't know how to apply it correctly. Maybe if they go to a store where they sell makeup and have one of those ladies apply it and explain how it is done.

i agree i think natural is better but if they feel the need for make up it should be light. Too much make up make u look older then what u are and if u dont tak care of your face you can really colg your pores. so for me less is more i have nothing to hide.
