Sadly, I do...Reason why, it keeps me in tuned with what is going on in the world/country/state/city.

I have loved watching the news since I was in 4th grade...seriously! I still watch it religiously almost daily, too. It's the best avenue we have to see what's going on in the world and to see history in the making.
My children (ages 5 1/2 years and almost 9 years) are also interested in the news and they know more about what's going on in the world than most adults. I'm proud of them for being so interested and for asking the questions they do when they don't understand everything they see or hear.

Only when I really want to watch something important. For example Katrina or The World Trade Center.

I am from a small town(28,000) I like the local news. I almost always see someone I know. National news depresses me!

Why is the fact that you watch it sad? that lets you make informed decisions and form opinions based on all of the current info you can get. I say that makes you very smart.

I watch the news, but I don't like what I see on the news.
