Ok, yesterday I got the game 'Horizons: Empire of Istaria.' I just installed it onto my computer, and then all of a sudden an internet screen pops up. It was to register for an account for the game. But they want you to pay for the account. I don't see the point in buying the game if they want you to turn around and pay for an account. Plus, the website is down right now. That only makes me madder. Does anyone know how to play the game WITHOUT making an account? Or anyway to get an account for free? This just doesn't make any sense to me.

Hmm, I haven't played this game before, but it sounds like if they are wanting you to pay for an account, you have an mmorpg title on your hands. Naturally, those (though not all, like Guild Wars) titles charge a monthly fee to play. Perhaps take a closer look at the box or research it a bit more thoroughly before making a purchase. Sometimes that fine print is a killer. Two of my favorite websites to go to before I buy a game is gamespot.com or gamespy.com-both give in depth reviews of games and let you know what you're jumping into before you lay down your cash. Hope this helped!
