I heard that Venezuela was the next big threat to the US?

that the president has been buying nucluer and other weapons from Russia. Have you heard this?

He hasn't been buying nuclear weapons, but Chavez has kept his closest company with the leaders of Cuba and Iran. That has to make some people a little nervous....he takes every opportunity to bash the US, and his domestic policies are going to destroy Venezuela in the long run....just another fly by night dictator.

As one of the nuclear powers in the world, Russia is held in constraint by the others. And though they are nominally an enemy, they still hold as much as possible to the various accords. However, remember that no news is bad business for the media and newspapers and TV journalists have a way to find ghosts when nothing exists. They have been stirring up trouble over Taiwan and are trying to egg America and China into a showdown....a very foolish move! Look at the fuss over illegals, if we know that there are 11 millions souls out there illegally, how did we count them? And why hasn't the border patrols and Immigration not rounded them up before? Of course, this might be a bit of propaganda to lead to ID cards, family registration and the loss of additional rights. The propaganda might have been planted by the politicians themselves....It is true that Venezuela has petroleum resorces...could that be a motive like Iraq and Afganistan??? Besides, a percentage of our illegal drugs come from there and we wouldn't want to upset the apple cart.

I think the biggest threat from Venezuela is that they might turn the spicket off on the oil we get from them. It truly sucks that America has to depend on these little *** Clown countries for OIL. MAYBE just MAYBE someday America will become Energy efficient and be able to tell these little countries to Piss off.
