for a shotgun shell? When will they be dangerous to use?

We have some that are really old. Should we get rid of them, or are they safe enough to use.

Um...get rid of them or ask someone in a gun store. Last thing you want is a misfire. Never try anything that you're not sure about when it comes to guns.

I would say 1-2 years is old

If they look greasy or wet the powder is becoming unstable (chemical change) and should be disposed of carefully. Otherwise I've seen hundred year old shells that are OK...

shotgun shells are not that expensive and if you are worried get new ones.

better than having health problems for the rest of your life
