Come on, you know you love how your farts smell! Everyone does! So why do we like our own and hate others- in reality, they ll stink, even your own! Is it psychological? If I fart but there's no smell, and a friend silently farts nearby, and I smell it and think it's mine, will I like it? Serious question, folks...

I agree with you that everyone do not mind inhaling their farts but feel offended if someone else farted in their presence.
It is like eating food from your own hands, even if it is dirty. If someone else handed you food from their dirty hands, you would not eat it.
It's a psychological thing...it's ok when you do it, but not ok when someone else does it.
Besides, you also feel that when you farted, you are letting out waste gases from your body and you feel good. You smell it because you want to know if it is time to take a dunk,
