thats a good question i always wondered myself. How is it that the hair is straight but they get the sides curly??? I think they use curling irons.

How ignorant can you be...I mean, im not really trying to be mean to you, but are you really asking that question. Thats like asking how caucasians get their skin so white..It just happens. I was thinking there werent any females out there that are this closed minded, but now i know there are.

Oh my God!
It has nothing to do with maintenance to the hair, it's all genetics. Same reason why black people have kinky and nappy hair before they hit it with a hot comb or perm and why most Asians have bone straight hair.
