What would you say Joanne Kathleen Rowling would do after she finally finishes off her series of Harry Potter books? If she writes other books, would anybody buy it and still be her fan? If she decides to not end her series of potter books, what types of stuff would she need to write about in her continuing series? I mean, she can't write the story anymore on Hogwarts because Harry would have graduated. My opinion is that if Harry and Voldamort both die in the final book, it will save the wizarding world/muggle world from evil.

I can't exactly remember when I had this, but I had a dream about the final book. Harry was in the middle of some town area (either a muggle town or a wizard town) and voldamort and harry were dueling each other and having their spells hitting other people's homes and damaging them. Much smoke and flames were all over, and Harry finally hit Voldamort with the Killing Curse. Voldamort, weak and powerless due to the fact that Harry destroyed his horcruxes, also hit harry with the killing curse. Both die, and Hermoine along with Ron carry Harry's body. The funeral for Harry's was either at the school or near his parent's graves. Many people showed up, even Draco and Lupin.

Jo's future after Potter includes taking a long break from writing. She also plans to release a young children's book (currently half-written) that is shorter than any Potter novel.

A few weeks ago- At this morning's press conference in New York City, JK Rowling talked a little about deaths in the seventh Harry Potter book: "I guess some people will loathe it; some people will love it."

She also spoke about life after Harry: "On the one hand, I am going to feel sad. Harry's been an enormous part of my life and it's been a turbulent phase of my life and he was always the constant. So there will be a sense of bereavement. But there will also be a sense of liberation because there are pressures involved in writing something as popular. Wonderful though it's been, I think that there will also be a certain freedom in escaping that particular part of writing Harry Potter.

"I feel quite liberated, I can just resolve the story now. And it's fun in a way that it hasn't been before, because finally I'm doing my resolution."

i don't think that she'll be able to do anything after the H/P series is over. Nothing will be able to compare to Harry Potter ya know. i may be wrong but i believe that J.K.R herself has said that one of the 3 main kid characters will die. in a way i agree that both Harry and Voldamort will die. also i don't think Dumbledore is dead, and snape might not be bad.(hate to say it)

Sooner or later, she's going to plublish her notes on HP in the form of an encylopedia. She may even help with some plubishable fan fiction set in the HP world. She already has some ideas what she would like to work on next.
