It is not unusual. Women begin to lactate between their second and third trimester of pregnacy. I don't think you have anything to be worried about.

It is not unusual for milk to leak out if you are 6 months pregnant. I have two children under 2 1/2 years old and it happened with both my pregnancies right around that time too.

Congrats & Good luck with the baby!!!!

is this your first child? regardless, you should call a doctor, I am sure they will tell you without an appointment- but if you are 6 months pregnant, I am sure you see a doctor regularly. Thats who you should ask, they would know for sure. I would guess that at 6 months, it is normal- or at least nothing to worry about. Maybe you should try to draw it out when it starts leaking- might be good to keep those things primed. Then again, it may make you produce even more!?

You can start 'leaking' as early as 16 weeks. You can start to feel the baby move as early as 12 weeks. If you are leaking heavily then try wearing nursing pads inside your bra. There are many types to choose from. Some are disposable and some are washable. If you have any questions, consult your OB.

Hi- Yes it is normal. I gave birth to my 8th child on the 10th of July and I started leaking around the end of my 5th month of pregnancy. Just a little hint also; it may sound weird, but it really works. I did it before giving birth, while I nursed my older children and even now; when your breasts are full and sore, put 1 cold cabbage leaf in the cup of your bra/nursing bra; so it lays against your breast. You may not notice it right away, but the soreness will go away. CONGRATULATIONS!!! P.S. They grow up fast; enjoy him/her while you can. ramblinroze53566
