If he has a felon, the school should already know about it and are no doubt watching him closely. I say leave it alone and mind your own business...but keep your books away. Hopefully he's learned his lesson already.

Why don't you mind your own business? That's the problem with the world these days. No one has any business of thier own. Or maybe you should wonder what a felon feels like about attending school with you? Are you liable to get your hind end stomped into the ground for bothering someone? Ever stop to think of that? You might do well to because every felon I have ever known has served hard time and paid their debt to society. They don't owe you a damn thing. Just do your study and leave other folks alone.

I am a convicted felon and this question upsets me tremendously. Already I cannot serve on a jury or protect my family with a shotgun or handgun and you would try to deny me education also? sounds like a recipe for disaster. A scared uneducated grown man with no legal means of protecting his family or convicting dangerous people by means of sitting on a jury? Do you know why I am a felon? I went to a store at 5 am to buy a drink and after walking through the unlocked doors tripped a silent alarm and was arrested for larceny from a building because I had already opened the soda. The store owner's policy was to press charges no matter what. why don't you try to mind your own goddamn business before some angry person in a situation like mine shows you what life is all about.

Gee, if you feel that strongly about what this person is doing, report him/her.
I had a friend who was an international student who couldn't afford much. Someone LENT her a text book for her to use for a summer class and it got stolen (not lost) - someone probably took it to get extra cash because it was during buyback. She was crying because she herself could not afford the book. She was lucky to have found someone who could lend her the same exact book. Not only did she have to buy a new book, but she also had to buy a second book to give back to the person who lent it to her because they still were going to use the book for another class. So I can see how something that seems so insignificant to most people can mean more to others.

There is a girl who attends the same college as I do and she is a felon. She used to have a job on campus but she got fired because she stole a student's credit card number and used it to buy herself a laptop. She would also steal checks that students would write to pay for their fees and write them out to herself, I don't know HOW she did that but she did.
Now she is not allowed on campus for any reason but to go to her classes.
If she is messing around we (employees) have to call the police.
Its really uncomfortable because I feel that I have to be on a constant look out for this girl. It sucks!!

If the felon had done their punishment (whatever it was) for the crimes that they committed and was trying to start over in their lives then I would have no problem whatsoever with them attending the same school/college that I was attending. However if I caught them committing any type of crime them it would be my responsibility to report them.

i think if they had stolen books from another college i think the one that they applied to would know about it.
but really it has nothing to do with me. i mean its not like they killed someone or raped someone.
but if they had commited perjury than that could get them alot of hard time.

If they have served their time for the crime, then I have no problems. You also need to lookup the definition of perjury.

You worry to much.Lock your books up & get over it. He paid his debt to society. Keep your eye on him if you must, other than that, leave him be,everyone diserves another chance.
