Astronomers suspected the existance of a massive body orbiting our sun beyond Pluto many decades ago, and calculated the probable poisiton of it to try and locate it. It took advancements in telescopic sensing technology before it could be confirmed. It has been called "planet x" for as long as I've known. From one of the other answers, I guess they call it Xena now. I can't be sure if the Voyager missions took any data from or about it or not, but you have me curious. NASA has published some incredible books about what they've found, you might try their sites or the Government Printing Office. I know there is an Atlas of Mars that is just beautiful, and it sells for the cost of printing, 20 bucks last time I looked.
