It has nothing to do with sex...all ego involved here...fools who are starved for attention are easy prey. Fools who's worth is measured by who they can get are on a loser's streak and bite the dust with great regularity. King for a day, loser for a life. Simple as that. These people throw away what the KNOW is the best thing in their lives for a moment of glory. Stupid, stupid, stupid. But then again, there are a lot of very stupid people out there, aren't there?

What SHOULD they be spending their lives on?

If sex isn't the end-all, then presumably you have something
better?

I realize that there are lots of good things that one can give up
to perhaps have sex and that perhaps in looking back, one might
not consider the trade worthwhile.

However, depressed people don't necessarily make good
long term decisions. Sex, under those circumstances, is
"self medicating" - just like drinking.

The things that you think in the long term are better than
sex can be awfully abstract (e.g. a long term loving relationship,
a job, a life free of STDs) and perhaps not seem attainable,
where as sex right here and now ...

My integrity could be compromised but I am not sure even Bill Gates could afford it. I highly doubt he could, now that I think about it...
most people would sell out to be on Fear Factor for 50K..
Fools...
Get it..

It's the thrill of the ride... similar to riding a roller coaster. The fear of being caught thrills people for some strange reason. We all feel the thrill when we have our fantasies.. but some of us are smart enough not to act upon them.

The excitement is means more to them at that moment. Its the forbidden fruit aspect. Anything that is beyond our reach becomes the most desirable thing to us.

Man's basic nature is one of selfishness. Add in a dash of self-deception and you have a very dangerous creature.

Perhaps to ask why people continue to smoke... or fail to contribute to their 401(k) plan...

They live for the moment and, (if like someone I know), they have absolutely no concept of their future. They're probably like that in more ways that just this one.

Spontenuity, and that good ol' adrenalin rush. They think with their hormones, not their heads and the consequences that follow.
