The easiest way to get more response from your engine is to let it breath.Get a k&n air filter. Then go one step further and add a pair of good exhaust headers. If it's an older car a larger carburator is a good single part.In newer cars some manufacturors offer a performance chip which can be installed in the computer. If you have the bucks,go with a NOS setup. It's not constant, but for sudden bursts of power (and fun) it's great!

Flat top or pop up pistons with a roller cam, add 4bbl carb and headers and prepare to stop at almost every gas station.
