Tomb Raider Legend, King Arthur's lake scene on PC game. How do I get Lara to let go of her pistols ?

Lara will NOT let go of her pistols fast enough after shooting the bell such that I CANNOT use the grappler. By the time she does, I've already been HIT by the serpent. Am I the only one having this problem? If you don't have PC version then please do NOT answer this. Thank you.

change the auto aim to manual aim once u let go off shoot she will put away the guns so u wont have to press additional buttons....or the other way around dont remember...hope i helped
