So last night I was complaining about my straightener and I wondered if it got hot enough to burn skin. This morning I was sitting on my bed straightening my hair and I was barefoot. I was moving around to get comfortable and all of a sudden it flopped over onto my foot lol and burned it I have this red mark on the top of my foot now. So typical for me. I think I jinxed myself lol.

I was convinced my straightener didn't get that hot lol. I'm accident prone, yes, I'm a bit of a klutz - more like I just drop everything and spill everything.

well, not tht, but i have been burned (i got burned couple weeks ago, and it blistered clear down to the muscles on my fingers. we had to cut the skin of the blisters off cuzz it had plastic stuck on em{dont ask}) i would suggest getting some aloe veara (sheez, i just used it on my sunburn, and i cant even spell it right lol) and putting it on it before it starts to hurt. the quicker u do it, the quicker the burn will heal, and the better it wil be (as in, it wont be as serious of a burn. i got sunbuern real good from swimming yesterday, and now, its almost a tan lol

OUCH. Be more careful next time. It doesn't sound very safe to have a hot straightener or curling iron on a bed, anyways. Now that you know how hot it can get you know that if _COULD_ set your bedding on fire or at least make ugly burn marks.
I'm sorry for your foot, but, it's only temporary.

Whoa! that happened to me!!! hurt like hell! cause it was a big straightener.. since then i have purchased a smaller one. and now i only occasionally burn my fingers. lol .

i burned the side of my neck w/ a curling iron once...i had to explain to people for a week that it was not a hickey!
