Yes, very much so. The only reason why others offend someone is to get a reaction out them. But if the person laughs at them then there is no reason for them to offend that person again because they know that they will not get a reaction from them.

Yes. Laughing at yourself shows you think as w/e they said funny, and when you agree with something they're saying or doing just to get under your skin because you show that you are not offended at it and then it's not fun for them to tease you any more and then they won't do it, or at least as much.

Definitely. People offend you in order to get under your skin. If you can laugh at yourself, they realize it doesn't bother you and they soon get discouraged. With enough practice, it really doesn't bother you anymore. But it is easier said than done. Just try not to take yourself too seriously.
